About the program
About the program
MathParents is an online resource supporting caregivers in their efforts to help children in grades K-8 succeed in math. Members get clear, self-paced homework explainers, live Q&A sessions with math-education experts, and a community of parents and experts who have their back — all for a fraction of the cost of tutoring, starting at just $5 a month.
We've heard from parents that they are frustrated with math and want to be able to help their children! We've also heard that they don't feel empowered to be "math people". This is where the MathParents team, with over 80 combined years in math education works to flip the narrative. We help adults build confidence so they can help their children build confidence — and end the tears and frustration at the kitchen table.
MathParents is a partnership between Rethink Learning (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) and Urso Education Group, with support from other math education professionals. Every explainer, video, and blog post is created by humans, for humans.
MathParents' values
What drives us
All people are math people
Everyone is capable of doing math and supporting their kids to learn it. There is no such thing as a “math gene.”
Ending math trauma
Too many people were traumatized by their own math experiences. MathParents wants every child to be free of math anxiety and ready to thrive.
Productive dispositions
Sometimes math is hard — and that is completely okay! Digging in and working through problems is how real learning happens.
